The focus of FiveTwo is always “Who”.
In 2009, the FiveTwo Network began with the impetus of helping people plant churches.
After all, Bill Woolsey (founder of FiveTwo) is a church-planter. Under Bill’s leadership, CrossPoint (Katy, TX) grew from seven families to over 1,000 members.
In 2012, though, the FiveTwo Network intentionally broadened and diversified its vision. They are still in the business of helping people plant churches, but now their primary focus is to equip Christian entrepreneurial teams with the means of making “their God-given dreams become a reality.”
“For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there were none of them.”
– Psalm 139:13-16
Who are YOU? Who has God created you to be? What dreams has God woven into the fabric of your being? These are the questions FiveTwo wants to help you answer.
For Brad and Sherie Garrison that dream was a mobile medical clinic for pregnant moms in their community.
Carrie is a neonatal nurse; her husband, Brad, is a pastor/pharmacist. They felt that God was calling them to care for pregnant moms and young children in their community, but even when you feel called by God to do something, the questions remains…
“What do we do now? “
This is where FiveTwo steps in. The FiveTwo process begins by building a team. Find a group of 3-5 people that share your dream and are ready to commit for the long haul. Doing it alone is not an option.
Next, FiveTwo administers the Harrison psychometric assessment. In short, the Harrison assessment gauges a person’s readiness to take on a new venture; it also offers a holistic report of strengths and gifts. Each member of your team will take this report. Once the reports are finished, FiveTwo will review the results with the team leader, and you will begin laying the foundation of your startup.
This is your dream. FiveTwo exists for the sake of helping you successfully navigate and steward your dream.
This is just the beginning of a two year process. Over the course of two years, you will receive a 3-day event for discovery and “vision casting”, monthly coaching for your team, a seminar on “How To Ask For Funding”, four 1-day events focused on problem-solving, and guidance on how to create sustainability for your startup.
The two year training process, including the Harrison assessment, 3-day and 1-day events, seminar, and monthly coaching costs $11,900. Additionally, by working with FiveTwo, you have access to a network of fellow entrepreneurs.
Since its inception in 2009, FiveTwo has helped start over 30 new, unique ministries all across the United States, such as:
- Church plants
- Church re-plants
- Holistic Homeless ministries
- Coffee Houses (for-profit) which double as a worship space
- Homes for sex-trafficked women
- Immigration services
- Mobile food delivery for under-served communities
- Mobile medical clinics
- Addiction recovery ministries
Each of the ministries that FiveTwo helps to start is — ultimately — steeped in a desire to tell people who Jesus is, what He is doing, and how He can change people’s lives, although the methods may vary.
FiveTwo currently partners with the Michigan, Florida/Georgia, and the Atlantic districts of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. If you would like to know more about the FiveTwo Network, please visit www.fivetwo.com.
